Okay, I guess there is one scene where a translation note may be necessary. If you play a lot of eroge and you already get the joke, then you’re free to ignore this:

If you’re scratching your heads thinking “wtf?” then you aren’t alone. If you aren’t familiar with eroge, this joke will likely go over your heads. So the rooftop of a school is where you see a lot of ecchi scenes in eroge. However, in order to do those ecchi scenes, all the characters have to be over the age of 18 because of ::reasons::. So if the setting of the eroge is at a high school, that would severely restrict the pool of characters you can use. All the characters will have to be high school seniors who are about to graduate. Nobody younger than that can appear, and you won’t be hearing anybody calling other people “Senpai.”

To get around that, eroge publishers have resorted to calling their schools “academies” where apparently students older than 18 can go to, and thus you can get a wider range of characters, age gaps, and power relationships. So you get your high-school setting without the place actually being a run-of-the-mill high school, and older guys can have sex with younger girls, and it’s all cool as long as nobody mentions their real age.

So there you have it. According to the fevered swamp that is the mind of Mokocchi, an open rooftop = perfect fuck spot for an eroge = necessity to rename the school from a “high school” to an “academy” to to get past the age restrictions.
